The Charitable Foundation for the Transcarpathian Hungarian College is a non-profit organization that was officially registered in October 1999. The Foundation operates as the founding organization of the Ferenc Rákóczi II Transcarpathian Hungarian College of Higher Education.
The Foundation’s main objectives:
- to provide charitable, non-repayable assistance to beneficiaries,
- to provide support for construction and repair works related to the operation of the Transcarpathian Hungarian College, as well as for renovation works in educational, cultural, health and social institutions in Transcarpathia,
- to create optimal conditions for the operation of the above-mentioned institutions.
The Foundation’s areas of activity:
- education;
- culture and art, protection of cultural heritage;
- human and civil rights and freedoms;promotion of international cooperation in Ukraine;
- supporting the implementation of regional, local and international programmes aimed at improving the socio-economic situation in Transcarpathia.
The Charitable Foundation for the Transcarpathian Hungarian College has been contributing to the infrastructural development of educational, cultural and social institutions in Transcarpathia for decades. Several times a year, the Foundation’s staff conduct field visits across Transcarpathia to assess local needs and prioritize key tasks. Consultations are held with the directors of institutions to identify what social projects need to be launched. They also maintain close contact with the Foundation’s educational institutional system, which helps to identify and address the needs arising from educational activities.
In order to ensure the sustainability of quality, the Foundation’s staff conduct regular on-site visits and consultations with the contractors during project implementation. They also maintain continuous contact with the leaders of the relevant institutions and regularly update the sponsor-designated contact persons on current developments.
